Outrageous queue times...

This is just crazy. It's 10:30 on a Friday night and I have a 30 minute queue time to get logged in. I am all for this server transfer thing but they have to be able to manage account numbers a little better. I guess on a side note they are bringing up more and more servers (realms). I just wish they would close account creation on a few select realms. It only makes sense.

Kazzak Joy

Well, once again I pull my ever-so-low dice out for a good roll. Kazzak was up this morning and we scrambled around for a decent group. Mainly guild members but a few non-guildies. I summoned in about 10 people and we were ready to go.

Queues rearing their ugly head more frequently?

Vans is famous!

It's funny. I get the impression that people are playing less due to the delay of the expansion. But every time I try to log onto Argent Dawn during prime time I am faced with a very, very long queue. Usually 200 or more, and a wait time ranging anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour. Well, according to this thread on the WoW.com forums, Argent Dawn is not alone.

Vansmirnoff from the Aggramar server is complaining about 500 player queues, and he is looking for free transfers off the server. I can see his point. Things are only going to get worse come mid-January. And Blizzard is accepting $25 for anyone who wants to transfer to the overcrowded server, so maybe they should allow those that are feeling overwhelmed an exit route that doesn't cost them anything. Also, shouldn't Blizzard stop the transfers to the overwhelmed servers?

What do you guys think? Are you stuck in a queue right now as you read this?

Parading Grol around Stormwind

Grol the Destroyer was paraded around Stormwind the other day. It was quite the Valentines treat. This one screenshot is kinda funny becuase it looks like they are welcoming him to the cathedral as a paladin. After meeting everyone in the cathedral he made a quick visit to the king himself. Since he is unkillable without the quest weapon I don't know what ever happened to him.

Ah, Dolanaar

Well, I have rolled a druid to raise now. I feel it's the best compliment to Meralis's new warrior (well, already 32 warrior). I hope to catch her so we can level together... I am always in catch-up mode anyway. I guess if she wants healing help then she will wait for me.

Ahn'Qiraj gate activity

There was activity at the cobalt gate in Silithus last night on Aggramar. Here is a shot of some big Egyptian things stomping on bugs. It looked like the bugs won before freezing up and eventually despawning. Not sure if the activity itself broght the zone down or the mob of people coming to watch. One thing is for sure... It would have been really interesting on a Pvp server.

Beautiful Goldshire

The run down to Goldshire reminded me of how scenic this land can be. Goldshire shines like a gem in the forest. The warm light from the inn makes me glad to be helping out with the local militia.

Marshall Dughan quickly puts me to work. After checking out the kobold problems in the local mines I am to report to Guard Thomas near Lakeshire and the Westbrook Garrison towards Westfall.

Before I could be on my way a traveling salesman in Goldshire named Remy offered me some gold in exchange for some gold dust from the mines around Goldshire. Mr. Pestle in the inn also needed some of the candles from the kobolds so I took him up on his offer. The Marshall also wanted me to scout out the mines and who am I to pass up killing three birds with one stone (or sharpened blade for that matter). I quickly collected the loot from the caves and reported back to Goldshire. The Marshall had me quickly on my way headed east to talk with Guard Thomas.

Reporting to Northshire Abbey...

Greetings, I am Wilgran, human warrior from the beautiful Elwynn forest surrounding Goldshire in the Easten Kingdoms. I was raised in a strict military family. My father, a dedicated warrior and defender of peace, grew up near Stormwind and was always helping out with the local defense against the horde or any other evil that surrounded our good city.

Upon reporting for service to the Northshire Abbey just north of Goldshire I found myself in great demand with the many jobs and quests to help protect my fellow citizens. I was ready to strike out on my own and earn my keep. I wasn't afraid of anything in the forest. I have wandered from Westfall to Lakeshire and there was nothing in the forest that scared me.

Dragonkin from Stormwind

Here are some shots of a high-end quest in Stormwind. I just stood and watched... They didn't touch me so I took some nice screenshots.
